Toshiba TG01 UK launch

The Toshiba TG01's UK launch event details have today been unveiled to the world.

Toshiba has invited us to the launch event on the 9th July with its 'exclusive networking partner', confirming that the TG01 will be launched in the UK and on a network rather than SIM free only as we first thought.

We brought you news of the handset's German launch yesterday - exclusively on O2 nonetheless, but Toshiba is keeping the UK carrier-list close to its chest, though we guess O2 will be in the running.

With a spec list toting a 4.1-inch display, 5-megapixel camera and 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, this handset is clearly squaring up against the iPhone's and Pre's of the market. Although, we're wondering if an ageing Windows Mobile 6.1 will cut it with this consumer market.
