Nokia has revealed the 6760 Slide, a Qwerty phone with a 2.4-inch screen and a 3.2-megapixel camera

Nokia has released details on the upcoming 6760 Slide phone. The slider in question is a full Qwerty affair that pops out from under the 2.4-inch screen. It’s a relatively small screen compared to what we’re used to with slide-out handsets, but then the 6760 Slide is designed to be more affordable than your average Qwerty-toting phone.
As you might imagine then, its features aren’t meant to compete with the Nokia top dogs. The 6760 Slide has a 3.2-megapixel camera and A-GPS, which aren’t going to stand out from any crowds by themselves. However, the battery life, claiming to offer 500 hours on standby, is pretty impressive.
The 6760 Slide has a microSD slot that’s compatible with SDHC cards up to 8GB, although we wouldn’t be surprised if it had no trouble with higher capacity cards too. To make good use of the Qwerty, it supports Mail for Exchange, Windows Live Messenger and Google Talk. We’ll have to wait to see if the Qwerty can stand up to its higher priced rivals though.
The Nokia 6760 slide will be available from Q3 2009, and will reportedly sell for around the £170 mark. It’ll also come in red and white, for those than don’t get on with the standard black finish.
