HTC Hero gets Nordic update

The HTC Hero's firmware has been updated, offering better performance and camera functionality, but it's not easily available to UK users yet

Published on Sep 11, 2009

The HTC Hero has been given a firmware update, but currently it’s only available in Nordic countries.

The update improves the speed and stability of the device, as well as adding a touch focus function in the Hero’s camera.

Some HTC Hero users have complained of performance issues when using the HTC Sense-specific features in the Hero, so we hope that this update may mitigate for these issues.

Unfortunately, we’ve had no word of exactly when this update might be made available to UK users.

In order to get this Nordic update installed, you’d have to re-flash your HTC Hero manually, which we wouldn’t recommend. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know if any updates become available on this side of the pond.
