Images and details of a new Motorola Android phone have been leaked in an early review

Images and details of the Motorola Droid have hit the web weeks before its launch on Verizon in the United States.

The early review suggests this will be Motorola’s leading attempt to dominate the Android market, with Google said to have had heavy involvement with its development.

Running Android 2.0 the Motorola Droid comes with an ARM processor making it impressively fast. Despite being a Qwerty slider the phone is said to be very thin, only marginally thicker than the iPhone, as well as having a larger display.

The soft rubber keys seen in the photos are yet to be decided on by Motorola who is still working on the final model.

Despite not being the finished article the early review declares the Motorola Droid the most impressive mobile since the iPhone.
