Spotify HTC Hero coming to 3
Andrew Williams
3 has joined up with Spotify and HTC to bring you a Hero that comes Spotify enabled as standard, for the whole term of your contract

An HTC Hero with Spotify pre-installed will be available from 3 this November.
It'll also be the first Android handset to come to 3, while the bundled Spotify subscription only further cements 3’s healthy obsession with all things Mobile Internet related. However, it’s not a particularly cheap package, as you might imagine.
Even after signing a 2-year contract at £35 a month, the Spotify-enabled HTC Hero will still set you back an upfront fee of £99. When you consider that the included Spotify Premium membership is worth £240 alone, as it lasts for the whole length of the contract, it’s still a good deal, but most mobile punters spending at this level will be used to getting their handsets for free.
The contract will get you unlimited Mobile Internet, texts and 3-to-3 calls, plus 750 minutes to any mobile you fancy ringing. Whether Spotify Premium signups will end up being popular enough to sustain the service remains unproved, but bundle deals like this seem like a good way forward, although that £99 charge remains a concern.
