Mobiado has announced the Grand 350 Pioneer, featuring a meteoric backplate on its feature list

Mobiado has announced its new Grand 350 Pioneer limited edition handset, named and designed in homage to the Pioneer 10 space probe - the first man-made object to traverse the asteroid belt.
The luxury handset market is awash with the rarest of materials nowadays, but this is the first mobile we've seen that can list a rear cover crafted from an actual meteorite. As if this wasn't enough, it's also dripping in sapphire crystal, stainless steel, ruby, and a goatskin leather carry-pouch.
Also unlike most of its insanely-expensive brethren, the Grand 350 Pioneer sports a spec list to be proud of, that includes:
- 2.4-inch QVGA display
- 3.2-megapixel camera
- Full keyboard
- 3G/HSDPA connectivity
- GPS
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- microSD support
One obvious downside to this particular handset is the considerable weight of the back plate, which means that the whole package comes in at a hefty 217 grams.
If you want to bag one for yourself you'll need to move fast as only 37 have been made and whilst we don't have the official pricing we expect it to be likely“out of this world” for us mere mortals.
