Touch Diamond 2 gets 6.5 update

HTC has announced a Windows 6.5 update for the HTC Touch Diamond 2.

The news of the updated ROM will likely please the legions of HTC Touch Diamond 2 owners that have been patiently waiting since 6.5 was officially released earlier this month.

You'll need your phone's serial number to actually start the download process, and HTC advises that you make a full back-up prior to starting as the upgrade will wipe all the data on the handset.

If there is such a thing as a Mac and Touch Diamond 2 owner out there, it should be noted that the upgrade only works on computers running a Windows operating system.

The process should take about half an hour, after which you'll have a revitalised Touch Diamond 2 waiting for you. It's pretty important that once started the update isn't interrupted, so make sure you have plenty of juice in your battery and don't unplug it mid-way through.
