Nokia will be launching the 6788, its first TD-SCDMA in China.
The new handset is the first of Nokia's devices to support the Chinese 3G TD-SCDMA standard, although more releases are promised by the Finnish manufacturer.
A traditional slider by design, the 6788 comes with an impressive spec list that doesn't miss a beat, aside from the omission of Wi-Fi.
What you do get is pretty much everything else that you could want from a non-touchscreen handset, including:
- 2.8-inch display
- 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss optics equipped camera with dual-flash and autofocus
- GPS
- Bluetooth
- 4GB internal memory
- microSD card support
Naturally, there's also that TD-SCDMA support for high-speed internet, but we're a little perplexed by the decision to launch it with the Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system running the show.
Pricing is unannounced currently, but we do know that the 6788 is expected to hit Chinese shelves in December of this year.
