Orange iPhone pre-orders crash website

Following the opening of online pre-orders for iPhones on Orange, the website crashed under the pressure

Orange recently started taking pre-orders for the iPhone, due to be available next week, but the massive interest in the new availability of Apple’s handset caused Orange site to collapse.

Reportedly, more than a quarter of a million people registered their interest in getting an iPhone from Orange. By doing this, you were given a code that gave you early access to the iPhone pre-order.

We’re guessing that in the rush, many users got a bit excited and plunged in at the earliest opportunity. However, if you’ve yet to check out Orange’s deals you may be a bit disappointed as they’re not that far removed from those we’ve seen from O2.

Then again, there is Orange Wednesdays to consider. Two for one cinema and pizza is hard to turn down, after all.

Take a look at the Orange iPhone tariffs.
