Tap Tap Revenge Coldplay edition rumoured for iPhone

A big part of the attraction of Tap Tap Revenge series is that it’s free, but a paid-for Coldplay edition is rumoured to be heading to the App Store

Like the Nine Inch Nails and Weezer editions that appeared on iPhone a few months ago, the gameplay will remain the same as in the free version, but it’ll come packed with Coldplay tunes.

Of course, it’s most likely to be based on the new second edition of Tap Tap Revenge rather than the original, boasting improved visuals and effects over its elderly cousin.

Although we can see the Coldplay edition doing pretty well considering the mass-market appeal of the band, the rock factor of these Tap Tap special editions does seem to be diminishing. What’s next? Tap Tap Snow Patrol? Tap Tap Katherine Jenkins? We dread to think. For big Coldplay fans though, it has got to be worth further exploration.
