Advance Wars-a-like Rogue Planet gets release date

Gameloft's turn-based strategy game Rogue Planet is due out on November 24

Rogue Planet is Gameloft’s iPhone take on Nintendo DS Advance Wars – a turn-based battler that’s as deep as it is accessible – and it’s due out on November 24.

You can check out Gameloft’s own video trailer of the game below, which shows off Rogue Planet’s stunning art style as well as some actual gameplay footage. What’s particularly interesting about this iPhone title is that it wasn’t developed in Gameloft’s own studios – a rare thing for the iPhone publishing giant.

We’re going to take that as a sign that Gameloft thought Rogue Planet was more than just a little bit special. Rogue Planet features 15 campaign missions, as well as 15 maps for multiplayer matches over Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi.

Rogue Planet is developed by Agharta Studios, the studio behind stylish adventure game 1112.
